I would be honored for you to join me on one of my retreats to Poros.
I fell in love with Poros, Greece in October of 2024 (so in love, in fact, I hosted two retreats there the following year 😊). I spent a week-long retreat at the Odyssey, with the amazing local hosts Katerina, Rik, and Dora, and a wonderful chef and friend, Jeremy. Let me tell you, this vacation was unlike any other. I was able to unplug from the world like never before. The hosts & staff took care of everything I knew I needed + what I didn’t know I needed. Even more than that: I’ve never eaten food as clean; some of my pesky health issues disappeared during my time there. Also, Katerina, Dora, and Jeremy skillfully modified every meal to meet my dietary restrictions, as well as doing this for others and their needs. I eat mostly foods that are gluten-free and vegan.

The cooking classes were excellent, from harvesting vegetables at the Odyssy’s garden to turning them into delicious meals, it gave new meaning to the concept of “farm to table”.

Then the location, the magic of this beautiful island and sister city (Galatas); imagine a place largely undiscovered by the masses, a place where time seems to have frozen when life was much simpler. There are modern amenities, no worries. But, the locals linger at meals, in conversation, as though savoring every moment of life; none of the rushing from appointment to appointment. This invites a palpable sense of calm, peace, and relaxation. This place, Poros and the Odyssey locations, presents as an extension of the immense beauty created directly by Mother Nature.
So, I thought how the calm of the location was a perfect backdrop for self-care. And, I thought how I wanted to share this special place with you. Have you meet the local hosts to see their unparalleled sense of care and welcoming. See what I did, taste what I did, and feel what I did.

Your Greek Haven.
Home away from home, in more ways than one.
Nestled in the peaceful Askeli area, The Odyssey at Poros is a haven where Greek hospitality shines, lovingly nurtured for over 25 years by Rik, Katerina, and their daughter Dora Sakelliou. This family-run hotel beautifully blends timeless traditions with a modern commitment to sustainability, creating an experience that feels both authentic and deeply meaningful. Guests are welcomed as part of the family, immersed in a setting that celebrates the essence of Greek culture and the island’s vibrant culinary heritage.

The Odyssey has so much to offer! Whether you want a quiet day, an active day on the water, or something else – the staff here is amazing!
At a Greek Pace.
This itinerary provides a gentle framework rather than a rigid schedule, allowing space for weather, rest, and serendipity. If you joined me last year and are returning, there will be new adventures to explore—though returning to a favorite moment can feel like rereading a book you love: familiar, yet subtly different each time. ✨ And please keep in mind that nothing is mandatory. This is your retreat. Want to sit outside with a book all day instead? That’s perfectly perfect. Not enough on the schedule? You have the option to add on activities/excusrions (at an additional cost) if you’d like to do more.

- Transfer to Poros Island from the Port of Piraeus by ferry is included in the trip cost. What's not included is how you get from the airport to the ferry terminal. Most fly to Athens and then take a short cab or uber to the ferry port. There will be multiple opportunities before the Retreat to learn more about this. Our local hosts are happy to provide information. We will provide you with detailed travel instructions, including guidelines for booking flights to Athens that align with ferry schedules to ensure a smooth transfer to the island. Also, if you're not a fan of ferries, or just want another option, you can organize your own car service from the airport to the hotel; you will be responsible for all associated costs. Our local hosts can make recommendations as to companies/options.
- The retreat package covers most expenses, but you may want to bring extra money for personal expenses, optional activities not included in the itinerary, a few meals, souvenirs, or additional beverages outside of meals provided.
- Transportation from the airport to the Port of Piraeus is not included. You also have the option to book a private service between the airport and hotel at your own expense.
- Gratuities/tipping are ALWAYS your choice, so it’s up to you if you want to bring extra money for that. We've learned that the tour operators are always so grateful.
- Not to sounds like a broken record (hey, remember vinyl?!💿) but airfare is NOT included in the cost of the retreat.
- To ensure a personalized experience, we limit the group size to a maximum of 15-16 participants. This allows for a more connected experience with the retreat community.
- Activities may be adjusted based on weather conditions to ensure the safety and comfort of all participants. We have indoor alternatives for most outdoor activities to ensure your experience is not disrupted.
- Single Occupancy — €4,600
- A private room for one person.
- Best suited for those who prefer their own space.
- No roommate coordination required.
- Double Occupancy — €3,900 per person
- A shared room with two participants.
